Artistry Ballet & Dance School
“Dance is a way to build character and inner strength.”
Artistry Ballet & Dance School is a warm, creative space for children and teens, where dance becomes not just an activity, but a true school of beauty, confidence, and personal growth.
The school was founded in Auckland by Alexandra, a choreographer and experienced teacher with over 15 years of work with children, youth, and adult groups.
Alexandra is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (London). She graduated from a Russian ballet school under the Bolshoi Theatre program and has completed two professional development programs at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. Alexandra also danced in a professional troupe and continues to train annually, maintaining the high standards in ballet and dance education.
The history of the school began with the creation of the Smooglyanka dance group in 2015. This year, the group celebrates its 10th anniversary — a vibrant, creative collective where adults, youth, and children perform side by side.
Before founding Artistry, Alexandra taught at the prestigious Corelli International School of the Arts and trained national-level gymnasts at North Harbour Gymnastics Club. The Smoglyanka ensemble quickly won the hearts of audiences with its meaningful performances and emotional depth.
New children’s groups naturally formed — and with them came the idea to create a dedicated dance school where every child could experience the world of art. That’s how Artistry was born — with love, professionalism, and the mission to pass on cultural and spiritual values through music, movement, and stage.
Today, Artistry is:
We don’t just teach children how to move — we teach them how to present themselves, to believe in their abilities, to overcome fear, work as a team, and value effort. For us, dance is a path to character, culture, and inner balance. Artistry is more than a dance school — it’s a place where children grow up with music, beauty, joy, and a sense of belonging.
